The Dalles lies on the east end of the Gorge, a geographic wonder which produces an unending array of weather conditions. Seasons exist, each with its own dominant weather patterns and a few variations.

In the spring you’ll find warm days and cool evenings interspersed with occasional rainfall. Summer temperatures rise steadily through August to comfortable non-humid warm days, with hardly a trace of rain. Clear, blue skies and cool, starry evenings accent Autumn, with intermittent rains later in the season. In the winter, several feet of snow falls on Mt. Hood but rarely accumulates at the lower elevations in the Gorge.
