The Port of The Dalles is seeking an order of approval from the Department of State Lands for an Advance Aquatic Resource Plan/Regional General Permit for Selected Industrial Sites in The Dalles and Wasco County, Oregon. Within the next few weeks, the Department of State Lands will be circulating the draft order for public review.
The plan identifies wetlands and waterways on six large industrial sites in The Dalles and Wasco County. The goal of the plan is to complete in advance a substantial portion of the wetlands permitting process, including wetlands delineation, other related reporting, and a development and compensatory mitigation feasibility report. Advance completion and approval of the plan will allow for the potential of expedited permitting.
The Advanced Aquatic Resources Plan/Regional General Permit and related documents are available for review. The Draft Order of the Director of Oregon Department of State Lands is available for comment. They will be available online at http://www.oregon.gov/dsl/ARM/Pages/TheDallesAARP.aspx and will also be available for review at The Dalles-Wasco County Public Library, 722 Court St., The Dalles, Oregon, or at the Port of The Dalles Administrative Offices, 3636 Klindt Drive, The Dalles, Oregon.
A public hearing is planned for Tuesday, June 21, 2016, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Northern Wasco County PUD Board Room, 2345 River Rd., The Dalles, Oregon.
